Austin Artist Zagami Sells Out Celebrity-Packed Show on Heels of National Award

Austin, Texas - Austin artist C. Zagami is making quite a splash.

This isn't just an Austin thing, it's an international thing.

Fresh off the heels of winning a national Digital Award of Excellence by his peers, Zagami has sold out back-to-back local shows off Congress in Austin.

One such show was packed with celebrities Americans may recognize in Hollywood, while the other was as gritty and real as any East Austin Studio Tour.

Zagami's work has caught the attention of not just Austin art goers, but by international art collectors alike.

His sensational depiction of not just household names (like Elon Musk, Wonder Woman, Aaron Rodgers and Lebron James - all sold out, by the way) extends to portraiture of friends and people from his everyday life.

His depictions of the human form has often been compared to the studies by the famous Da Vinci, as models within the realm of fitness have graced his digital palette.

Every digital brush stroke, every glimmering highlight of a person's eye is now being featured and examined by art magazines as well as online publications world wide.

Add to that natural talent a jovial personality and you have a combination that explains Zagami's in-person popularity, while the popularity of his work speaks for itself.

Though his posh downtown Austin studio on Congress wows with modernity, the artist's work is based on years of meticulous old-fashioned draftsmanship.

"His artwork just pops," says Jen Schlesinger, a Zagami collector.

Zagami's style has been hailed by some publications as an effortless blend of naturalistic study with the cutting-edge appeal of a burgeoning digital format.

While his gallery shows routinely sell smaller "one-off" artist proof works starting at $1200 and up, they quickly escalate to $5,000 and higher for his larger pieces.

But fear not budget-minded patrons, Zagami's signed open-edition prints start at just $200...

However, even those got sold out at his last show.

Just one look at any of his hand-drawn portraits in person and both casual viewers and savvy art collectors alike see why his shows keep selling out.

And if current prices of a Da Vinci (tens of millions of dollars) are any indication, we can see why the work of Zagami is a modern day steal.

But if you're not impressed with his technical skill, perhaps you'd be interested in his mind...

The ever-busy Zagami is authoring a book on the rise of the modern woman, titled "Super Women."

He has also found fame for recruiting fitness talent for Nike as a photographer.
